Being blessed with fine weather, AAJS members enjoyed visiting Kokeizan Eihoji Temple, Tajii Monastery, Oribe Street, and Kobei-gama. With the help of the City of Tajimi, volunteer guides and interpreters joined us, making the outing more interesting and enjoyable.
Participants are strolling the garden which is designated as one of Japan's scenic beauties.(Inside the garden, there are Kannon-do and Kaisan-do, which are also designated as National Treasures.
Potter Ryotaro Kato, the 8th generation of the Katos gave us a lecture on the history and characteristics of pottery in the region.
Participants are making a pottery using "rokuro".
